Yellow leaf caused by Sugarcane yellow leaf virus (SCYLV) is a serious viral disease affecting production and productivity in many ruling sugarcane varieties in India. Usually the characteristic disease symptoms appear during maturity phases of the crop; also many of the infected varieties do not exhibit disease symptoms and disease expression is influenced by virus titre and other factors, including the prevailing climate. The present study was taken up to quantify and compare SCYLV in meristem-derived tissue culture raised in vitro plantlets and asymptomatic sugarcane plants in RT-qPCR by relative standard curve method. The standard curve was prepared with serial dilutions of plasmid standards from 3 × 107 to 3 × 103 copy numbers of virus target gene. In this assay, copy number of virus population in in vitro plantlets and asymptomatic plants was estimated from 20,314.58 to 4,330.87 and from 8.96 to 0.27 million copies of viruses respectively. Relative expression level of the virus between in vitro plantlets and asymptomatic plants was in the ratio 73.7 : 243,393.1 based on 2-(Δ ΔCt). The results clearly established that meristem-derived tissue culture significantly reduced SCYLV population and it is concluded that the relative standard curve method efficiently detects the copy numbers of the target virus in different sugarcane samples.Keywords

Top ranked engineering colleges in India like IITs and NITs are providing residential campus for students. This gives them distinct advantages for resource availability and mobility 24x7. Majority of private engineering colleges in Maharashtra are non-residential for students leading to shortage of time for networking, team work related activities. This calls for inculcating an effort to induct a mechanism to cope up these shortcomings.
An attempt has been made in this paper to present a framework of channelized On-Line tools including social media, e-portals, web tutors etc., in an engineering way.

Objective: Biometric image retrieval becomes the most popular application scenario in the real world where the many application are started to use bio metric authentication. It plays a key role in the security management system of the real world application to prevent the malicious user access. Storage and management of the bio metric details of multiple users are the biggest issue which may lead to inefficient performance. In our previous work, two model bio metric based human recognition is introduced where the iris and finger prints are considered. But it may not recognize the human system in case of missing information and the corruption of extracted features. To overcome this problem in this work multi model based human recognition is introduced. Methodology: The four models considered in this work are: Iris, finger print, face and the palm print. The unique methodology is used for extracting the features from these models. In the previous research work, Speeded Up Robust Features (SURF) algorithm is used for iris feature extraction and Improved Locality-Sensitive Hashing (ILSH) indexing method is used for finger print feature extraction. In our proposed methodology, weighted attributes sparse code words indexing is proposed for face image retrieval where the attribute scores are selected optimally by using the BAT algorithm and a Novel hierarchical Indexing approach is proposed for Palm Print Image Retrieval. Finally these extracted features are fused together to generate a single model from the multiple models by using the approach called uni-model indexing scheme. Findings: The experimental tests conducted prove that the proposed methodology provides better result than the existing approach in terms of improved retrieval accuracy. This simulation evaluation is done in the MATLAB simulation environment for the both existing and proposed approach which is then compared with each other to obtain the performance improvement. Applications: The findings of this work prove that the proposed approach provides better result than the existing approach in terms of improved accuracy. This approach can be applied in the many research field where the security is required for preventing from the intruders attack like military, hospital management etc.Keywords

Employability is a sustainable effort to be inculcated in all students gradually. A study reveals that student's interests in studies and extra efforts are maximum in first and second year of admission. Employers are also specifically interested to test basic concepts and application oriented key stills to be demonstrated by students during recruitment.The gap between university specified examination and employability assessment can be met by using Blooms Taxonomy Levels. Identified 11 employability skills that are predominantly important for any industry/employer needs to be inculcated in a time bound way by identifying chain of similar subject domains or mapping through prerequisite subjects. Subject specific employability skill matrix development procedure is presented in this research work.Keywords

Post Covid-19 is a real challenge, as students’ faces are not visible to teachers during interaction or nor the students are available physically, leaving teachers clueless about their active learning and active engagement in learning. Achieving graduate attributes poses further challenge as it has to ensure imbibing Higher Order Thinking skills [HOTs] in students. There is a need to develop online integrated pedagogy to overcome this problem. It is observed that creating content specific videos, really creates interest in students and ensures active learning, if they are asked to upload in YouTube provided students are guided with Rubric based learning for video creation. Moodle integrated YouTube [MIY] channel is developed to let the teachers create their own Video of short duration with rubric guidance. The paper presents a case study dedicated to PO7 [Program Outcome Environment and Sustainability], supported by Open Education for better World [OE4BW]. The Moodle based methodology [73 activities in Moodle- Games like crossword, Quiz, Discussion Forum], integrating with google meet to interact with participants, Rubric guidance, query solving, active learner’s motivation and impact of posting in YouTube channel are presented in study.
Out of 268 participants, 217 participants peer reviewed videos were selected and added in YouTube channel [Environment and sustainability OE4BW, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQWwEFdEMeS7Kc 3MuWw3Jkg/videos] based on quality content [Carbon foot print analysis, Environment and Sustainability computation] created by them. Participant’s happiness index for learning was attributed as A+ [4.79/5] during the entire video development process.
